First off, Welcome to our neat-o blog! Thanks so much for finding us!
Our Hope is that what you see here will inspire you, encourage you, and allow you to open your eyes to the breathtaking beauty that surrounds each of us every day. Not merely beauty in nature, but beauty in new found love, beauty in new promises, beauty in sweet little giggles...beauty in the little, overlooked moments. It is those little moments that make us come alive and make what we do so worthwhile!
Spend a little while with us and it will become very apparent that we simply adore our little family! We love the giggles and smiles of our new son, we love our date nights, we love laughing till we cry, and we love each other with a deep, unrelenting passion. Our desire is that our love becomes contagious... and spreads into the hearts of everyone we come in contact with.
We hope you that you fall in love with what you see here... and if you do, let us know! We would love to meet you, hear your story, and capture the beauty in your life!
**Thanks to Valerie Schooling, Charleston SC for our family photos!

Johnathan and Amanda got hitched in the sweet city of Coeburn, VA. We have always wanted to photograph a bride with one of these awesome classic veils so when I walked in to see Amanda for the first time you can imagine my excitement! The ceremony was filled with the love of Christ and their love for each other. Such a beautiful couple and a wonderful wedding! Ross and I found it absolutely hilarious and were very humbled that they were so excited to be on our website. So now ladies and gents they are on the AP Blog and soon to follow this winter website update they will be on the site!
We absolutely had a blast working with Mike and Ashley! I went to school with Ashley and know her and her family quite well. It always makes shooting that much more fun when you have known someone for so long. Their wedding was very classy and fun-lovin. The day started with the bride and groom getting ready in their presidential suites, the ceremony was short, sweet and personalized by the preacher and then we went to ETSU campus where Ashley and Mike have spent some time together and took some shots there. The reception was incredible with the Bag Of Cats band and lots of dancing!
Ashley wanted her bridal session at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dr. Hyatt. Their homestead was absolutely GORGEOUS and made some great backgrounds for stunningly beautiful Ashley. Her wedding post will be up soon and you don’t want to miss it! So check back often
Jonathan was our Fed-Ex dude at the office in downtown Kingsport. He brought Ashley in to show her the space, knowing that we would be their photographers. He was right…just as he was diggin our work, she did too! We booked them a couple days later and the rest is history We really enjoyed working with this amazingly personable couple through mini session engagement photos, a smokin hot bridal session (literally) and now their wedding…the whole shebang! ENJOY Mr. & Mrs. Grindstaff and may God bless your marriage forever and ever!
We traveled to Carson Newman College for this e-session. This is where Drew and Katy (CNC alumni) first met and where they had their first kiss. The location was absolutely fabulous and abounds with memories for the two of them. In fact, the bench you see them snuggling on below is the very bench they kissed on. Oh! And I must not forget to mention that our dog Ringo’s copper-colored look alike was there as well, their dog Ruby
Elizabeth and Andy got hitched under the BIG Oak Tree. This was probably one of the most artistically personalized weddings we have ever captured. Elizabeth had soooo many handmade details and her hard work REALLY paid off to make some GORGEOUS pictures. She had cutout excerpts from her and Andy’s favorite books, I SPY game for the kiddos, cook books for her guest and the list goes on and on. Beautiful wedding under that BIG Oak tree….I am sure you will agree!
Belinda - Love the pic of Elizabeth and Ed. Beautiful father daughter shot. All the photos capture the moments and wonderful memories!July 18, 2010 - 8:37 pm
Our little Martin just turned 9 months a couple of days ago. He has such a wonderful personality. He’s very laid back and easy going (most of the time) and is such a blessing to have around. He is constantly making us laugh and finds humor in making us do so! Some of his favorite things to do at this moment in time are listening to daddy play guitar (he literally bounces off the ground and shakes his booty when standing up), playing with his best friend and partner in crime (his dog Ringo), pushing his cart around the house, riding around in his stroller at the Greenbelt and absolutely LOVES any activity involving water. He eats nearly all the time, a growing boy I must say (22lbs and tall as can be)! He and I still get to cuddle but not as much as we used to because he constantly wants to be doing something. I enjoy now sitting back and watching him explore his little world. He ALWAYS has to be doing something with his hands…making messes usually and he carries around his hammer, his new remote or his little mega blocks man everywhere he crawls. Martin is very smart and his balance and Fine Motor skills are beyond me. We are REALLLY enjoying having a little bit around and look forward to his 1 YR birthday coming just around the bend! Just wanted to share an update about our God given treasure
